Reacting to Keith Caputo (of alternative metal band Life Of Agony) covering U2's All I Want is You. This was released as a solo song under the name Mina Caputo during his gender transition years. I discovered Mina through an interview on trans activist Buck Angel's delightful podcast and was immediately interested in this under-dog, enigma, true artist (all the things my fave musicians share) and think he's one of the coolest rock stars out there. A lovely spirit.

Regular reaction video live show. I'm a rockabilly slap double bassist in Portland, Maine reacting to music, and sometimes talking about music. 📻 Also here are interviews from my 2011-12 podcast "The Roman Midnight Music Podcast". Channel duplicated on Rumble.

🎧 I play primarily double bass, plus keyboards and sing, and currently working on a 1950's show. 🎼 I've studied bass with Slick Joe Fick, Adam Ben Ezra, Danny Ziemann, jazz history with bassist Chuck Israels (Bill Evans Trio, Getz, Coltrane), jazz theory with sax player Titus Abbott, world music with singer Margot Hanson. I played bass in the metal trio Tired Wings & alt-country group Willy Martin & The Woods, and in a Johnny Cash tribute band
