Laurie Throness Runs For Chilliwack SD33 Trustee Stressing Academic Achievement

On July 26 2016, then MLA Laurie Throness spoke to Bill 27, which was the Bill to amend the BC Human Rights Code, adding to it the phrase 'gender expression and identity.'

In his speech, he is very sensitive to all British Columbians, he points out that all people no matter how they identify were already protected by the BC Human Rights Act.

He speaks to why he abstains from voting on this bill. We are all British Columbians, we all want to be heard, he affirms all people including gay, lesbian, bi, transgender people and those who are not quite sure yet. All lives are meaningful and have purpose.
