After ABC Settlement, Trump Sues Iowa Paper, Vows More Lawsuits Against Press | Firstpost America

US President-elect Donald Trump has sued the Des Moines Register, a morning newspaper in Iowa state, and its former top pollster, Ann Selzer. Des Moines Register and Selzer ran a poll just days before the presidential election, suggesting Vice President Kamala Harris would win Iowa. However, the survey was proven wrong as the state elected the Republican leader. Trump filed the latest lawsuit just days after ABC News agreed to settle a defamation case by donating $15 million to his future presidential library. The network also publicly apologised for remarks by its anchor George Stephanopoulos, who falsely said that Trump had been found liable for rape.
