We are thrilled to share Isabelle's recent legal victory against the City of Ottawa!

Isabelle had been without water for 3 weeks when the service was cut off by the City of Ottawa when she refused to accept the smart meter. She finally got her day in court and the court examined the municipality's authority to terminate water services and found that the City had overstepped its legal boundaries.

The judge ordered the immediate restoration of Isabelle's water service, reaffirming that municipalities must operate within the confines of their legal authority and that municipalities do not have the authority to cut off water services. Congrats Isabelle!
