Hemmer vs Harf Response Over Trump's Tweet To Iran Escalated Quickly

A Fox News panel got heated on Monday as anchor Bill Hemmer battled with contributor Marie Harf over President Donald Trump‘s explosive all-caps tweet threatening Iran.

Fox News host Sandra Smith noticed that Marie Harf, a former Obama State Department spokeswoman, had a visible reaction as she read out Trump’s tweet.

“What’s the president going to do?” Harf replied. “It’s really easy at midnight to put caps lock on your computer or your iPhone and tweet tough words, but what does that mean?”

“Well he’s obviously sending a message,” Smith said.

“But what message — he’s going to attack Iran??” Harf asked.

“You think we should just be as passive as we have been for 30 years?” Hemmer jumped in. “Every time they say death to America, down with the USA, down with the red, white and blue, over and over. People all across America sitting back saying, ‘well why don’t we stiffen our spine when it comes to this stuff.'”
