BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
• Jesus is considered the first person to be baptized with the Holy Spirit Matthew 3:16-17 Luke 3:21-22
Jesus began His ministry and demonstrated His power by casting out demons, healing the sick, and teaching with authority (Luke 4:16-44).
WHO GIVES
Matthew 3:11 I (John) baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I; I am not worthy to bear His sandals, He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire
• Mark 1:8-9 I (John) have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.9 In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

WHY DO WE GET
• Given by God so we are ready for God's work and bear fruit for God's kingdom
• John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you; Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God (Kingdom Position)
• Acts 2:3-4 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues as of fire; and came upon every one of them.4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
