08 Aircraft Carrier to Hilo, Hawaii (4K 5.1 HDR)

This is the eighth leg of a painfully slow trip around the world, ignoring regulations, navigating only by pilotage and celestial navigation while using weather conditions at the time of flight. In this episode we take flight from the Aircraft Carrier we made a pit-stop at last time, and continue on to Hilo, Hawaii, about 1,000nm away.

This is a rather easy celestial navigation flight, since finding the Big Island is kind of like hitting the side of a barn door, however there is significant wind shift along this route. This video has morphed more into a little description of the various stars used for navigation and where they are found.
