Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was booked by the Delhi Police based on Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) complaint in regard to the Parliament scuffle on Thursday. The FIR alleged that he violated the security personnel’s instructions to use the designated route for entry into the building and incited other INDIA bloc MPs to disrupt the BJP’s protest with force and aggression, “endangering their safety."

The complaint against the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition was filed by BJP MP Hemang Joshi after two party MPs – Pratap Sarangi and Mukhesh Rajput – were allegedly injured in the alleged scuffle. The BJP alleged that Rahul Gandhi pushed them, leading to their head injuries, which necessitated immediate medical attention for which they were rushed to RML Hospital.
