PARAMOUNT Announced SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 4 Ahead of Sonic 3’s Opening Weekend

Paramount made the announcement they are going to be producing a 4th Sonic the Hedgehog movie after the early reactions to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 have been very positive.

Studios announcing movies and not following through is not strange in Hollywood. Its possible Paramount could be doing this to give the impression they expect their new movie to do well in order to drive customers, but that’s likely not the case. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is so far the highest reviewed Sonic movie on Rotten Tomatoes for both critics and audiences. Also, the projected opening weekend box office would put it in line with the previous movies in the franchise which were both profitable for the studio.
