Two men have been charged in connection with an incident at Manchester Airport.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were called to an incident between members of the public at Terminal Two on July 23. GMP has been investigating the actions of the individuals whilst the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has been probing the actions of the officers involved in the response.

The Crown Prosecution Service has today (Friday) charged two men with assaults on police officers. No police officers will be charged, the CPS said in a statement today.

Mohammed Amaaz, 20, is charged with two offences of causing actual bodily harm, one charge of assaulting an emergency worker and one charge of common assault. Muhammed Amaad, 25, is charged with causing actual bodily harm. The two defendants will appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on January 16, 2025.
