Jesus Christ saved me from spiritual death.

We were not supposed to die. God warned Eve that if she were to eat the fruit of that one tree in the Garden, she would die. The Serpent lied to her and told her she would not die, and she believed him. Because she believed what Satan had to say and not God, death came into the world.

If you are involved in bad spiritual practices, they will lead to spiritual death. You might think that what you are doing ‘works’ for you, but if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord, then it won’t matter how ‘good’ your practices make you feel because you are heading for spiritual death.

For a year and a half, I felt like death was all around me, and it was a horrible feeling. I don’t want this for anyone.

“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold and my refuge;
My Savior, You save me from violence.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.

When the waves of death surrounded me,
The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me;
The snares of death confronted me.
In my distress I called upon the LORD,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry entered His ears.”

2 Samuel 22: 2-7
