This week so much has happened, from the fall of Syria to Russia moving Mediterranean assets, to a record number of pardons by the Resident of the Oval Office, to ever-stranger details on Luigi Mangione to distract us from a panicking deepstate shredding machine. But I have been thinking about Alice in Wonderland's comment: "Why, You're just a deck of cards!" and how we use that mnemonic to keep track of the most wanted. Is the Middle East Madness with Syria now run by Al Qaeda threatening the peace and stability of London as jihadists make their way to take over the West? is Mossad behind it? why? is it a place for Palestinians to go?
When I mention the number 17 what comes to mind? Is it Isaiah 17? because it's on a lot of commentators minds this week...seeing how from out of the pages of a book more than 2000 years old the fall of Damascus is foretold. What's the play here? It's going to be Biblical.
