✴️✴️Most will agree it's not as good as the original Lion King movie; however, kids will likely enjoy all aspects of it, women will appreciate the storyline and most of what the movie has to offer, and men might get a little bored and feel it is kind of drawn out. Both adult sexes seem to agree that the musical component of the movie was not great and would have been better with less singing and/or different songs. Some might see the movie as a reinterpretation of the classic story through a more modern lens, and they may be right. Overall, it's worth seeing with the family, but the movie could have been much better.

Plot:
"Mufasa: The Lion King" is a prequel that explores the origins of Mufasa, detailing his journey from an orphaned cub to becoming the king of the Pride Lands. The film opens with a dedication to James Earl Jones, the original voice of Mufasa. The story is narrated by Rafiki to Kiara, Simba and Nala's daughter, explaining how Mufasa, after losing his parents to a flood, is saved by a young lion named Taka (who later becomes Scar). They embark on a journey to find a legendary land, encountering various characters and facing threats, including from a malevolent group of white lions led by Kiros. Throughout, the narrative delves into Mufasa's rise to nobility through merit rather than birthright, offering a backstory to the dynamics between Mufasa and Taka/Scar.
