Last Armageddon (PCE - 1990) playthrough, part 29/38 - Slate Factory, Material Transport Device

Continuing in the slate factory, we pick up the Material Transfer Device, which is used to teleport the party between the surface and underground. At this point, it is safe to head back to the underground and save. The only reason to head back to the underground is if you need to heal at the Demon World. In the final section of the factory, we get into a boss battle before reaching the 109th slate in production. Slime merges his 2nd time. I spend about 15 minutes (from about 53:35 to 1:11:10) grinding to try to get Cyclops to his 2nd merge. I don't get him there, getting him to level 32, before beginning the next task of having all 12 party members find out about their true forms.

Translations are machine translations (turn on captions for translations). I used the Bing and Google translators as well as https://nihongodera.com/tools/kana-converter for word by word translations. I also used http://www.moemoe.gr.jp/~yourtoy/last/index.html It has most, or possibly all, of the text (all in Japanese) from the PC88 version. I'd say at least 90% of the two versions' event scripts are identical -- I did not compare the text on the slates.

Last Armageddon was originally released on Japanese PCs in 1988, being ported to PC Engine in 1990 on CD. It was also ported to Famicom a couple months later. It never got a release outside of Japan.

Played on a PC Engine Duo-R using composite out, running it through a RetroTINK 5X-Pro to an Elgato HD60 X capture card. Recorded in OBS Studio.
