Simple Simon met a pieman
In line at a concert
Said Simple Simon to the pieman
I love your f***in’ t-shirt

He comes in alone
You know the type
Hair 40 years too long
Old t-shirt to hype

Sidles up to the bar,
Looks and says hello
You’re just a ‘lil too polite
To tell him to go

He tells you his name
And where he’s from
You already sized him up
And man he’s f***in’ dumb

Says he’s followed the tour
From coast to coast
And he’s partied with the band
What a f***ing boast

He’s a scene faker
There’s at least one in every town

Show’s about to start
So he offers a table

He’s not very stable

Sitting down you smile

A rehearsed smile replies

He knows the owner

Leaning back on chair
He calls for a waitress
Asks what you’re having
