Gen 26:6-11

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Gen 26:6
Your children are watching you. They will exhibit both your strengths and weaknesses. In the case of Isaac, he exhibited Abraham's strength of absolute - obedience (he stayed in Gerar) according to God's word. He also exhibited Abraham's weakness (he lied about his wife) like Abraham did. I love how God does not hide our weaknesses. He showed us the weaknesses of both Abraham and Isaac and all God's people in scriptures. In spite of the weaknesses, God does not love us less. Note that the weaknesses must not be borne out of disobedience. God's strength makes us perfect in our weaknesses. 2 Cor 12:9

6 So Isaac stayed in Gerar.

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Personal Supplication
Father, strengthen my weaknesses and make me perfect in Jesus' name!
2 Cor 12:9

9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

Weekly Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, And under his wings shalt I trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee throughout this week in Jesus' name!

Only with my eyes shalt I behold And see the wicked receive their rewards. Because I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
