A lot of people from nonsense so called freedom guru groups are of the opinion that if you are a government employee, that you cannot also be IN THE PRIVATE.

That is false.
You are always a living people first.

You are only IN THE PUBLIC when you are in the capacity of your office.

Otherwise, by all means:

Exit the IRS
Exit the DMV unless you need that for your job.
Exit all licensing contracts.
Exit your fraud mortgage.
Exit your property from the county recorder.
Exit your business from the state LLC chains.

EXIT every government contract possible since they are all REPUGNANT to the Constitution.
