Starmer’s ‘God Complex’ Treachery Will Not Go Unpunished!

Right, so Keir Starmer and his increasingly more and more rancid Labour Party do seem to be absolutely determined to make themselves as unpopular and unelectable as possible with as many demographics as possible, and assaulting our civilian and citizen rights to redress and to hold institutions to account goes to the heart of that and this story has gone to show that in that respect, in respect of our ability to hold power to account, that has been watered down more and more to the point our objections do not matter anymore and even when we win, we can still be dismissed out of hand. The story at the crux of this is that of the WASPI women, but it goes beyond that, it is a bigger story and a bigger concern than just them, because where they have, as mainstream media have very much been amplifying, lost their compensation despite winning their case with the ombudsman, Starmer’s Labour are the ones who have turned winners into losers, by refusing to pay up and in that case what is the point of having an ombudsman service if their findings are not legally binding and their findings enforceable when it comes to government, but above even that, with the number of Labour figures who campaigned to support the WASPI women in exchange for their vote, once more this Labour Party proves that it cannot be trusted, that they will say anything and take advantage of anyone, in order to get what they want, the Labour right just as big a bunch of snakes as the Tory Party, but actually I think they are even worse, because you know the Tories are snakes, Labour pretend they aren’t, they can’t even be honest about it, so now you have to be honest with yourself and decide if this shambolic and wicked government are still acting in your interests and if not, why vote for them?
Right, so that was a little montage of clips there showing a small selection of the rampant hypocrisy we’ve seen from Labour figures, now ministers over the years, acting as if they were on the side of the WASPI women, and now deciding actually, you’re all too expensive to compensate, we’ll just pretend you all knew, hide behind a figure of 90% of them knew, when actually that is utterly impossible to gauge or measure, as reason enough to not compensate.
You had Angela Rayner and Yvette Cooper mounting staunch defences of WASPI women, denied their pensions, scammed by the Tory government, all expedient political ground to fight them on and yet the reality turns out that once in power, they have no intention of rectifying the situation. Rachel Reeves bleating about value for money, so these people are not worth it then? No longer working, what a waste of money, who cares if they’ve endured hardship, I’ll keep telling you and myself that they really knew. Liz Kendall who’s Department for Work & Pensions is overseeing this shambles made much the same commentary by way of excuses, bleating about the number of people and the years it would take to administer the changes, when this is rot, every WASPI woman got screwed over, its just a case of administering the compensation. You could even agree to do it in partial amounts whilst figures are checked so at least people got something in the meantime. She might not have been the boss at the DWP at the time, but the DWP was found guilty of maladministration over he pensions of 1950’s women and to refuse to rectify that is astoundingly inhumane not to mention functionally doing the equivalent of pouring napalm all over your political career.
Rebecca Long Bailey pointed out that despite government denials, women have suffered hardship, they have lost money, some even lost their homes over this farce, it demands restitution and it shouldn’t be permitted that a government can deny that once an ombudsman decision has been handed down. Much the same commentary has come from Jeremy Corbyn and Stephen Flynn and other progressive politicians too, few as they are on the ground.
As for Keir Starmer? Well back in 2022, on the matter of the WASPI women scandal, so just two years ago, he said:
‘This is a real injustice. That’s why there’s been a big campaign about it. It’s not just that the age has changed to 67. All your working life you’ve got in mind the date on which you can retire and get your pension and just as you get towards it the goalposts are moved and you don’t get it and it’s a real injustice. We need to do something about it. That wasn’t the basis on which you paid in or the basis on which you were working. We have a government that has its fingers in its ears.’
And now it’s you going la la la I’m not listening isn’t it Keith? What has he said now to those 3.6 million WASPI women denied their pensions on their due dates? That he’s going back on his word, like that’s even something new, because this compensation package would be a burden on taxpayers.
As regular viewers will know I detest the term taxpayers, because taxes don’t pay for anything, it simply offsets normal public spending which the government does by typing numbers into a computer functionally, it’s Thatcherite nonsense and is a term that has to go the way of the dodo, but what Starmer is really saying here is that these WASPI women are the burden, a burden he doesn’t want to saddle with debt when he’s promised billions to Ukraine for as long as it takes, that example might not be the first that springs to your mind, but it does mine and it’s not that I don’t agree with sending aid, but it shows the government wallet is bottomless when it comes to certain choices and this is a choice the government are choosing not to make.
Fundamentally it also makes a mockery of government redress for anyone. Here we have a decision made by the Parliamentary Ombudsman, finding in the favour of the victims of Tory government policy and Labour not backing it up and functionally it is because the Ombudsman has no powers to enforce their ruling. What is the point of an ombudsman service if it can be ignored? Other than the Financial Ombudsman, I can’t think of another that actually does have statutory enforcement powers, but all of them should, yet intentionally it is kept that way and the only conclusion you can draw for that, is so governments can get away with pulling cunning stunts like this, but it also goes to show our civilian rights, no matter who we are, what we do, our age, or our issue, can only be carried so far by using ombudsman services. Even if finding in your favour, nothing may necessarily come of it, so what’s the point? What this issue has exposed is that our civil rights are not good enough, are woefully insufficient when governments can dismiss matters out of hand, even when they are the guilty party and it cuts to the heart of what is right and fair and clearly there is a distinct lack of that, now made obvious. We need better than this and if this is the sort of government that won’t be fair but will hide behind bureaucracy instead, then it’s a government we don’t need.
Since the retirement age was put up, the government has saved £181bn in pension payments. To recompense the 3.6m WASPI women would cost just £10bn of that. If that isn’t the biggest argument for settling this I don’t know what is and it also shows what an uncaring, unfair and vile government this Labour maladministration is.
To say this is a government we don’t need this I don’t think is a surprise to anyone anymore, though Labour sorts will no doubt continue to live in denial about it, but Labour politicians clearly aren’t and one reason I daresay they feel so confident in riding roughshod over WASPI women is that they’re also attempting to deny us another of our civil rights by denying many of us a vote in May’s local elections by attempting to kick them down the road in the name of reforms. Their excuses don’t stand up to scrutiny on that either however as this video recommendation will explain all as your suggested next watch, please do also hit like, share and subscribe if you haven’t done so already to help support the channel it is very much appreciated and I’ll hopefully catch you on the next vid. Cheers folks.
