McKinsey & Company agree to pay $650 million

With this agreement, McKinsey and Company will pay $650 million to settle a federal investigation into its work related to the opioid epidemic.

McKinsey is an international consulting firm. They were being investigated for their role in helping Purdue Pharma sell OxyContin and other painkillers that fueled the drug crisis. The CDC has linked opioids to the deaths of more than 80,000 people just last year.
