Ashwin Retires from International Cricket, Leaves India Emotional | First Sports With Rupha Ramani

Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin announced his retirement from International Cricket during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia. The announcement was made after the third test match between India and Australia ended in a draw due to rain. Ashwin made the announcement during a post-match press conference where he was joined by Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Indian batter Virat Kohli shared an emotional message on his social media after Ashwin’s retirement announcement.  Captain Rohit Sharma has confirmed that Ashwin will now fly back to India and will not continue for the five match series which still has two games left to be played.
