Macy’s Shoplifter Meets Police K9

On April 4th, 2023, officers responded to a robbery at a Macy’s store. Three suspects were caught stealing clothes, and when an employee tried to stop them, they pepper-sprayed him in the face before fleeing in their car. Shortly after, they were stopped by an officer, but the suspects fled, crashing their vehicle into oncoming traffic and then escaping on foot. This is where the suspects hit another car, abandoned their vehicle, and then started running. The car they hit contained two adults and a minor female. One of the suspects did not run and remained sitting in the car. Shortly after, a K9 spotted the minor suspect hiding in the bushes and bit her. The male's parents arrived at the scene to ask about his well-being. The minor was charged with resisting arrest and was taken to a juvenile facility, while the other female faced charges of fleeing, resisting arrest, and robbery. The male was also under consideration for robbery charges, depending on the evidence collected against him.
