my thoughts on the Palmetto State Armory JAKL rifle after shooting 1,000 rounds through it. lets see if its still accurate.

In this video, the reviewer talks about their experience with the Palmetto State Armory (PSA) Jackal rifle, highlighting its performance and features. After owning it for a while and putting around 1,000 rounds through it, the rifle has proven to be very reliable, performing well with both brass and steel-cased ammunition in various grain weights. The only malfunction occurred when using a suppressor without adjusting the gas pressure, but once adjusted, the rifle ran flawlessly.

The Jackal is praised for offering a strong performance at a lower price point compared to similar rifles like the Sig Spear platform and The Descent, which are more expensive. The reviewer paid about $1,100 for the rifle by purchasing the upper and lower receivers separately during daily deals. The rifle comes mostly assembled, except for optics, the forward grip, and the muzzle brake.

Regarding accuracy, the reviewer used a basic setup with a red dot sight and 3x magnification, shooting at 100 yards. The rifle showed decent accuracy, with all shots within a palm-sized group, even under less-than-ideal conditions.

A downside mentioned is the proprietary barrel, which cannot be swapped out like traditional AR-15 barrels. Once the barrel is worn out, the entire upper receiver would need to be replaced. Additionally, left-handed shooters may face challenges as the Jackal does not offer a left-side ejection or a switchable charging handle.

Overall, the reviewer highly recommends the PSA Jackal for those looking for a reliable, affordable rifle that delivers strong performance, especially if you're on the fence about buying one.
**Video Description:**

In this video, we take a close look at the Palmetto State Armory Jackal rifle, which I’ve had for a while but recently started using again. I’m currently at around 1,000 rounds through this rifle, and it has been running flawlessly, with both brass and steel-cased ammo of various grains. I initially tested it with a suppressor, and while there was a minor issue due to the gas setting, once adjusted, the rifle ran perfectly.

The Jackal competes in the same market as high-end rifles like the Sig Spear, but at a much lower price point. I bought mine for around $1,100 by taking advantage of daily deals for the upper and lower receivers, which came with most parts (minus optics and accessories). It’s been a solid performer, and I highly recommend it if you’re considering it.

We also dive into accuracy at 100 yards, showcasing its potential even though I don’t have it set up for long-range shooting. I’m using a simple Red Dot with a 3x magnifier, and the results are still impressive. Despite not being a long-range setup, the Jackal shows it’s still very accurate with some good groupings.

The only downside to the Jackal is its proprietary barrel system. Once the barrel is worn out, you’ll need a new upper receiver, as it can’t be swapped for a standard AR-15 barrel. Additionally, it doesn’t support left-handed configurations, so left-handed shooters might find this limiting.

Overall, this is a great rifle, especially for the price, and if you’re on the fence, I say go for it! It's a solid, reliable platform with many familiar AR-15 components (except for the buffer spring and tube). Thanks for watching—don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more content!
