December 6 is Saint Nicholas Day! ❤️ He was known for helping children, feeding the poor, helping others in secret and for his kindness. He also preached the Gospel and talked a lot about the book of Revelation.

There’s many amazing legacy Saint Nicholas left behind. I’m gonna share what I know about him.

In the 3rd century, Saint Nicholas was a Bishop. He is from Myra, Turkey 🇹🇷. He would go out roaming the streets and throw gold coins into random windows’ home of the poor. Some of these coins would actually land inside shoes 🥾 👢 and stockings 🧦🧦 that were hung on fireplaces getting dry! This was where the idea of stocking stuffers comes from.

Saint Nicholas love Jesus Christ and he often shared the message about His SECOND coming on His White Horse! Like wow 🤩 talking about His 2nd coming over His 1st coming as a baby is something to think about there.

After Saint Nicholas passed away, his popularity spread all over Europe. Each nations added their own tradition for the remembrance of him for his kindness. He was a Patron Saint of sailors, archers, and children.

The tradition I know and like, on the of December 5th, hang up your stockings and have your family and friends exchange gifts with sweets, coins, oranges and small toys with each other to open the next morning of December 6. 🩷
