Christian PROVES Jesus is GOD & MESSIAH | Sam Shamoun

Jesus was teaching in the temple, directly challenging the scribes' understanding of the Messiah's identity. He pointed out the profound truth that David, inspired by the Holy Spirit, acknowledged the Messiah as both his son and his Lord. This dual nature of the Messiah as both human and divine is a cornerstone of Christian theology, clearly establishing Jesus as the divine Son of God.

In Mark 12:36, Jesus quotes David's Psalm, saying, "David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared: 'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet."'" - This verse shows the divine authority of the Messiah, seated at God's right hand.

Moreover, in Matthew 22:43-44, Jesus further elaborates, "He said to them, 'How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him "Lord"? For he says, "The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet."'" - Here, Jesus uses this scripture to highlight the Messiah's divinity, being above even David, who was the greatest king of Israel.

Finally, in Acts 2:34-35, Peter echoes this teaching in his sermon, stating, "For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, 'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."'" - Peter confirms that this prophecy from David points to the resurrection and ascension of Jesus, affirming His divine status.
