Some fighters are ranked number one in weight divisions they've never fought in. Other fighters are ranked lower than guys they have a better record than. Between the sanctioning bodies, BoxRec and Ring Magazine, fans are often confused about how the ranking systems work.

Everything is so political when it comes to boxing. When I looked up the word politics, I got several different meanings. When it comes to boxing, this definition in particular sticks out.

Activities within an organization that are aimed at improving someone's status or position are typically considered to be devious or divisive. That sounds about right when it comes to boxing.

There's a lot of shady things that go on in the sport boxing fans don't know about. It's not as simple as black and white. When Brian Norman Sr called the show, he explained this very same thing.
