Beef Stew

Let’s cook a delicious beef stew!
Ingredients :

3 lbs beef, cubed small
8 oz potatoes cubed small
2 stalks celery chopped
1 lb frozen pearl onion
1 chopped medium onion
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 small chopped parsnip
1/2 small turnip, cubed
1 medium carrot, chopped
2 leeks, sliced (mostly white part)
1/2 cup diced mushrooms
2 cups red wine
4 cups beef stock
4 bay leaves
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp Italian herbs
3 tbsp worchestershire sauce
2 tbsp molasses
3 tbsp tomato paste
Salt to taste
1 tbsp ground white pepper

Brown beef in small batches. In crock pot add all vegetables, liquids, herbs and spices. Bring to simmer on high, then reduce heat to low and cook for approx 3 hrs or until tender. Just before serving mix 3 tbsp cornstarch with 3 tbsp cold water until smooth, then fold the cornstarch mixture into the stew to thicken.
