Marvin Gaye 1983 - "Drug City" Written After Our Meeting.  Aether-Light.com

I met Marvin Gaye through a friend (Semmiji) who was a Bass Player for Marvin Gaye's wife (Anna Gordy Gaye).
We use to visit Mrs. Gaye's Mansion frequently, and one night Marvin Gaye pulled up in a white Limousine.
When He came into the house my friend introduced me, and Marvin gave me a tight huge and said "Jesus Loves You".
He then asked me if I would like to smoke marijuana with him as he held a pipe and a large bag of marijuana (I declined).
My friend and he began to smoke and I began to talk to him.

We were watching TV and Marvin was receiving the Grammy Awards for "Sexual Healing" when he said "why are so many people happy to see me"?
I said to him, "Because You Are Marvin Gaye; You Are The Greatest.

I then asked him one question.
"Who do you consider to be the greatest R&B singer of all times, is it Smoky Robinson"?

He said "I would never pick one artist to be the greatest because they are so many truly great artist.

I then asked him who comes to mind when you think of all those great artist, and he said "Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin".

I was experiencing many horrible ordeals of my friend Semmiji being addicted to Crack Cocaine and drugs.
So after meeting Marvin Gaye and seeing his addition to drugs, I had to write the song "Drug City".
I must say my "Drug City Instrumental" song is my masterpiece.

Yes, "Drug City" is the Mindset of anyone who is unfortunately addicted to drugs.
