On January 27th, 2024, dispatch received a call from a woman stating that she had been hit on the head with a gun and that there were possible shots fired. Amelia admitted that one of her colleagues was fired from Rivian because of her and that she had blocked Amelia’s driveway along with several other people. At that point, Amelia had her gun in her pocket, and it was about to fall as she was trying to get inside her apartment complex, so she grabbed it. It was then, according to her, that a shot might have been fired. The officers eventually arrested her to conduct further investigation. She showed the police where she had kept the gun. She was not sure if the gun had gone off. The woman was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm and disorderly conduct.
