LESSONS FROM JEHOSHAPHAT - Yoked with Israel's Evil Kings

King Jehoshaphat was the 4th king of Judah under the divided monarchy, the son of Asa.

He was one of the few good Kings in ancient biblical times and is described as walking in the ways of King David.

Jehoshaphat honored God and feared Him.
He made gréât reforms in his Kingdom to draw the people back to God, and for this he was immeasurably blessed.

However, he made the fatal mistake of aligning with the evil Kings of Israel.

He suffered heavy consequences from these unholy alliances, that would strongly convict his heart.

A study of Jehoshaphat’a reign reveals that it is detrimental to unconditionally support the Kings of Israel who are not in right standing with God.

What applied to the leaders in the times of the Old Testament, applies just as firmly today.
