Arizona Man Sentenced For Having Underage Wives, Kidnapping Girls For Sex Slaves

An Arizona man who had 20 wives was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
This after Samual Bateman pleaded guilty to kidnapping girls then turning them into his personal sex slaves. Of Batemans 20 wives, 10 were under the age of 18 and one was as young as 9-years-old.
According to investigators, the religious leader would force the men in his congregation to atone for their sins by handing over their wives and daughters.
Bateman traveled between numerous southwestern states to rape his victims, and it was on one of those trips in 2022 that police discovered him transporting the girls after they received a tip that small fingers were reaching out of the trailer.
Inside that trailer were numerous girls including three that were between the ages of 11 and 14.
Seven of Bateman’s adult wives were also charged for "coercing children into sexual activity" or impeding the investigation.
