Plants vs Zombies 2 - Plant of the Week - Meteor Flower - December 2024

Plant of the Week - Meteor Flower - was offered between December 14, 2024 through December 21, 2024.

Meteor Flower is a member of the Pepper-Mint.
Meteor Flower costs 250 Sun.
Meteor Flower warms nearby frozen items.
Meteor Flower launches meteors. Each meteor deals 120 damage. (+20 per levels 2-5. +30 per levels 6-10.)
The impact site becomes lava cratered and no plants can be placed there. This lasts for 2 seconds. (+1 second on levels 4, 7 and 10.)
This molten pool will damage zombies who walk in it for 10 damage. (+5 damage on levels 2 and 6. +10 damage on level 10.)
When given plant food, Meteor Flower will launch 3 meteors. (+1 meteor on levels 4, 7 and 10.)
When given plant food, these meteors will do an additional 20 damage.

Commentary:
Pepper-Mint plants are generally weaker than their non-Pepper-Mint brethren.
Meteor Flower does not have that problem. Firing two (2) meteors every seven (7) seconds means there can be some heavy damage being done.

The problem with Meteor Flower is that the player can not choose the target. The meteors just hit a random zombie or grid item.

Bottom line:
Despite that “flaw”, Meteor Flower is a good plant for many situations. One just needs to plan for the random zombie which can dodge these meteors and the fire-resistant zombies. A column of Meteor Flowers will take out many a level and thus, this is a good plant; even if it belongs in an otherwise weak family.
