Never Apologize To The Woke Mob: WNBA Owner Pounces On Caitlin Clark's White Privilege Apology

This writer said from the get-go such an admission was a mistake. Never, ever apologize to the woke mob and never argue on their terms. Clark is a star because she's good. Period. Her race has nothing to do with it. And all this groveling did was give the woke mob more ammo to use against her. Case in point: WNBA owner questions why Caitlin Clark was named Time Athlete of the Year, suggests it will cause racism. Washington Mystics owner Sheila Johnson spoke out against Time magazine for naming Caitlin Clark "Athlete of the Year" in an interview with CNN Sport on Friday, suggesting that the publication should have given the award to the entire WNBA. Johnson even suggested the decision to give Clark the honor would incite feelings of "racism" within the league.

"Why couldn’t they have put the WNBA on that cover and say, ‘The WNBA is the league of the year,’ because of all the talent that we have," Johnson said. "When you single out one player, it creates hard feelings, so now you’re starting to hear stories of racism within the WNBA, and I don’t want to hear that." Caitlin Clark is a game changer as she has elevated the entire WNBA with her elite basketball skills and phenomenal game. That's why people fill WNBA stadiums to see her, as regardless of her race, she's the Michael Jordan of the league. Michael Jordan was named the Associated Press (AP) Male Athlete of the Year three times, in 1991, 1992, and 1993. He was also the USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year in 1983 and 1984. I can't recall white NBA players crying foul, feeling left out or saying they had built the NBA and were deserving of the same accolades and attention. Race has no place in this conversation as Caitlin Clark is a generational WNBA super star and based on her remarkable basketball skills, records and extraordinary following, she alone has earned and deserves to be the 2024 Time Athlete of the Year. -- That's how it always goes.

28 years of WNBA losing money (about $10 million a year averaged out) hell, most paid zero attention until Clark came along. This lady said nothing about all the dirty hits Clark has taken due to racism. That's (D)ifferent.
