In their view, it was only a matter of changing their minds and going up into the land. But they were doing so in their timing and in their way, not GOD’s. What they have failed to recognize is that the atonement for their sin has already been set: Wandering for forty long years in the wilderness.
Yet, CH 15 begins with a word of hope, well at least to the new generation, those who are 20 years old and younger.When you come into your dwelling land.What follows is for the new generation in the new land. And this is the LORD speaking.The LORD is still going to bring them into the promise land, in HIS timing.
Solet סֹלֶת is the Hebrew word for fine flour, probably a finely ground barley or wheat meal. It was a food of luxury, used in special occasion cooking. It is first found in GEN 18 with Sarah preparing it for the visitors. One-tenth of an ephah was about two quarts and one-fourth of a hin was about one quart.
