Creating a Rock Garden by Our Patio Extension | Budget-Friendly & Beginner-Friendly Tips

Our concrete patio was originally so narrow, it could only fit a bistro table! To fix that, we extended it with pavers to fit a full table with four chairs—no permits required! But we quickly learned the grass in front of the extension wouldn’t survive the hot summers and compacted soil. So, instead of fighting nature, we decided to create a small rock garden to save the space.

In this video, I show you how we transformed the area using discounted evergreen Carex Morrowii ‘Irish Green’ that I divided into four plants. I also tested out my new battery-operated Parkside Performance leaf blower (PPTLBA 40-Li C3), which made cleanup a breeze without disturbing the pea gravel!
