Initially, Casey Anthony gave conflicting explanations about Caylee's whereabouts, eventually claiming Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez. However, it was later revealed that this nanny did not exist.Casey Anthony was charged with first-degree murder in October 2008 and pleaded not guilty.
