You can take Crowley's alien contact deeper by going into his Enochian Magick, which dates back to John Dee and Edward Kelly - they were given a language to communicate with interdimensional entities. This Enochian Marick is still practiced within the Golden Dawn. Crowley has a book on his experiences through the different "Ethers" called "Being of the Angels of the 30 Aethyrs, The Vision and the Voice" or Liber 418. LAM is also said to mean "Gate" and there is a Typhonian order specifically concerned with that entity.
