Port Orford Beach, Oregon

In this video, we visit Port Orford, Oregon beach as a stop off on our way between Eugene, Oregon to Crescent City, California. Much of the Oregon shoreline is scarcely visible along the nearby main road, the Pacific Coast Highway (US 101) until you reach Port Orford. Funny thing is, we just about missed this beach. We had just had dinner at the Crazy Norwegian Restaurant and stumbled across this beach. While at the restaurant, we asked a few locals where we might find a typical Oregon beach to visit and, funny thing, they referred us further down the road miles away; however, as we started on our way again, we noticed this beach just behind the restaurant and so pulled over for a visit.

The beach is a beautiful short walk along a trail from the parking lot off Highway 101 in Port Orford. It is the first beach right off the road if going south from Florence, Oregon to the California border. This translates into driving the distance of about half the south part of the state vertically before arriving at Port Orford from Florence. Beautiful drive none the less.

Hope you enjoy!
