Here is the way I make this smoked-tender, crusty, and delicious pork shoulder butt on our pellet grill. It takes time but it's very easy to prepare, place in the smoker and forget about it for several hours.
Ingredients:
Pork Rub Seasoning Blend (Optional):
Salt, Black Pepper, Smoked Paprika, Garlic Powder, Cayenne, Ground Cumin.
Season well the pork and leave in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, while prepping the smoker (200F).
Place the pork into the preheated smoker and let it cook overnight or 12-16 hours (around 150F internal temperature. Wrap it in aluminum paper and place in preheated 250F until it reaches 195-200F, about 1-2 hours.
