Bass Hunter 64 Playthrough (Actual N64 Capture) - Part 6

This is part 6 of my capture of me playing through the Championship mode of Bass Hunter 64 on the Nintendo 64. This is not an emulator. This footage was captured directly from my Nintendo 64 using a real Bass Hunter 64 cartridge.

In this sixth part I completed Tournament #6. This was easily the hardest tournament so far. I hit a snag (figuratively speaking) with this one, and had to retry this tournament probably eight times.

It turns out that when the day’s tip suggests you do a slow presentation, it really means slow – as in let the lure just sit there and only jiggle it every few seconds. But even that didn’t cause the fish to bite. I also had to switch to a minimal 8 lb test and then the fish finally decided to bite. This game really needed a guide explaining all of these things. If I knew this information back in 1999, I might have played this more.

Fish caught in this video:

1 - Bass (5 lbs, 6 oz) - 2:57
2 - Bass (3 lbs, 6 oz) - 4:50
3 - Catfish (1 lb, 1 oz) - 5:56
4 - Bass (2 lbs, 8 oz) - 16:56
5 - Bass (2 lbs, 10 oz) - 18:42
6 - Bluegill (0 lbs, 9 oz) - 31:06

Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the official N64 S-video cable. I used a Toshiba model D-R550 DVD Recorder to upconvert the N64's native 240p signal to 480i so that the Hauppauge could capture the console's audio/video signal.

I'm using a standard Nintendo 64 controller.
