The Breaker of Blacks

When the ancient Israelites came out of slavery in ancient Egypt and conquered the promised land, they disobeyed the Most High, YAH by allowing many gentiles to remain in the land amongst them. Deuteronomy 7:1-6 "When YAH your Father shall bring you (Israel) into the land whither you go to possess it, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you; and when YAH your Father shall deliver them before you; you shall smite them, and utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: neither shall you make marriages with them; your daughter you shall not give unto his son, nor his daughter shall you take unto your son. For they will turn away your son from following Me, that they may serve gods: so will the anger of YAH be kindled against you, and destroy you suddenly. But thus shall you deal with them; you shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. For you are an holy people unto YAH your Father: YAH your Father has chosen you to be a special people unto Himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth." The Israelites COULD have removed the gentiles from the land but they chose not to, either in the spirit of compromise, out of fear, doubt in YAH and/or themselves or all of the above; in total, they left 20 gentile cities and 8 gentile nations in the land with them:

JUDAH
Judges 1:18-19 ...Judah took Gaza with the coast thereof, and Askelon with the coast thereof, and Ekron with the coast thereof. And YAH was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

BENJAMIN
Judges 1:21 ...the children of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites that inhabited Jerusalem...

MANASSEH
Judges 1:27-28 Neither did Manasseh drive out the inhabitants of Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land. And it came to pass, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, and did not utterly drive them out.

EPHRAIM
Judges 1:29 Neither did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwelt in Gezer among them.

ZEBULUN
Judges 1:30 Neither did Zebulun drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites dwelt among them, and became tributaries.

ASHER
Judges 1:31 Neither did Asher drive out the inhabitants of Accho, nor the inhabitants of Zidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob:
Judges 1:32 But the Asherites dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: for they did not drive them out.

NAPHTALI
Judges 1:33 Neither did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of Bethanath; but he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of Bethanath became tributaries unto them.

DAN
Judges 1:34-35 And the Amorites forced the children of Dan into the mountain: for they would not suffer them to come down to the valley: but the Amorites would dwell in mount Heres in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim: yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became tributaries.

Because the Israelites COULD have removed these gentiles but chose not to, YAH was upset with them for disobeying Him and in Judges 2:2-3 He says, "For your part, you (Israel) were not to make any covenants with the people living in this land; instead, you were to destroy their altars. But you disobeyed My command. Why did you do this? So now I declare that I will no longer drive out the people living in your land. They will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a constant temptation to you." This initial schism between YAH and Israel due to Israel's disobedience set the stage for all the turmoil that Israel would go through from the time of the judges unto the present day.
