Dekhti Aankhooon aur sountay kaanoon ko Asslamoalaikum, sisters, brothers friends and elders, in informative series videos of Islamic ascolars, sufisaints, cultural heritages, islamic philosophys, islamic mysticisms and historical figures. today we are describing biography of and the history of his shrine.

Ghausi Shah was a Muslim Sufi saint and poet from the Indian subcontinent. He was born on 1 July 1893 CE in Hyderabad, corresponding to 16 Dhu-al-Hijja 1310 AH.

He was only 20 when his father died in 1913. Ghousi Shah studied under Maulana Hameed-Ullah. He learned Urdu, Arabic, Persian: Fiqh, Hadith, Tafseer. He also learned calligraphy. Ghausi Shah embodied in his person, all the elements of Ikhlaq-e- Muhammadi – the character of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Ghausi Shah Sahab was an entirely straightforward individual, with absolute and complete surrender to God. As an orator, he left a deep, intimate impact upon his listeners. He deeply moved hearts with the power of his words and was a profound interpreter of Wahdatul Wujood (the concept of unity of existence in Sufism) and Masnavi Maulana Rumi. His ability to simplify complex Sufi concepts left us in awe, and his approachable nature fostered a strong connection with his students.

His father, Al-Haj Kareemullah Shah, nurtured and introduced him to the path of Tasawwuf (Islamic mysticism). This initiation kindled a deep love for Allah within him, which later blossomed into intense passion and Ishq (divine love) after meeting Machiliwale Shah. He took Bayah (spiritual allegiance) under him and was instantly granted Khilafa (spiritual succession), marking a transformative turning point in his life.

Syed Kamalullah Shah (Machiliwale Shah), a businessman from Mysore, experienced a profound transformation when he first met Syed Sultan Mahmoodullah Shah Hussaini in Sikandarabad. Captivated by his spiritual presence, he surrendered himself and was initiated into the spiritual order. Interestingly, Ghausi Shah was just one year old when his grand Shaykh (Spirtual Teacher) Syed Sultan Mahmoodullah Shah Hussaini passed away.

Four months before his passing, in a momentous speech delivered before a large gathering of Murideen (disciples), Peer Ghausi Shah publicly declared his son, Sahvi Shah, as his successor (Janasheen). He emphasized that this decision was in accordance with the will of God.

Additionally, Peer Ghausi Shah conferred Khilafath (spiritual succession) upon four of his disciples—Mohammad Abdul Quadir Shah Saheb, Syed Khasim Shah Sahab, Sadullah Khan Sahab, and Abdur Rasheed Sahab—through the hands of his son, Sahvi Shah. These significant details are inscribed on the stone at the Dargah (shrine) of Peer Ghausi Shah.

Ghousi Shah Saheb died on 4th Shawwal, 1373 hejire corresponding to Sunday, 6 June 1954 CE in Hyderabad. He was buried in his father mosque, Masjid-E-Kareemullah Shah, 15-6-341, Begum bazaar, Hyderabad, India.

His annual Urs is organized by his present successor Moulana Ghousavi Shah on 4th Shawwal every year. Moulana Ghousavi Shah (Secretary General: The Conference of World Religions and President: All India Muslim Conference) and other religious scholars presides the function every year. The Urs celebrations will end with sama (Qawwali Programme) at Baith-Un-Noor, Hyderabad. People from all corners of country irrespective of cast and creed comes to attend this occasion every year.

With this, we seek your permission until tomorrow, tomorrow we will describe the biography of the Ischolar Gül Baba also known as Jaferand the history of his maqbara. Allah Hafiz.
