Episode 245: Headmaster's Homeroom w/ Guest: Gloria Krolak

Gloria Krolak is the host of Mornin’ Glory, at jazzradiowetf.org, the first
and only broadcast host to feature the vibraphone. She had previously
been host of Good Vibes on JazzOn2 for 14 years. She was also poetry
editor at Jersey Jazz, the journal of the New Jersey Jazz Society,
authoring two columns, On the Road and Rhythm & Rhyme.
In 2019 she created Jazz Lines…free verse in the key of jazz, poetry built
entirely of jazz tune titles, beautifully illustrated by the photos of the
late Ed Berger of the Rutgers University Institute of Jazz Studies. She
recorded 15 of her poems on the CD Jazz Lines Spoken, with music
written for each by vibraphonist/composer Steve Yeager. Her website
is www.gloriajazz.com. In January 2020 she co-produced the Jazz Vibes
Showcase, which presented five of the world’s best vibraphone players
individually and as a group finale at the Arts Center of Coastal South
Carolina.
Her hobbies include photography and beach walking.
