The #shishkebab, or #kebab, is a fundamental part of Northwest Florida culture. It is hard to go to any festival, ball game, etc. and not find them for sale. In this video, Ken uses two different recipes, both claimed to be the original recipe, from which most NW Florida shish kebabs are derived.

SHISH KEBAB MARINADE

2 c. Dole Pineapple Juice
1/2 c. Lemon Juice
1/3 c. Soy Sauce
3 tbsp. Firmly Packed Dark Brown Sugar
3 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. MSG
1 tsp. Paprika
1 tsp. Ground Mustard
1/3 c. Diced Green Bell Pepper
12 oz. Sprite
1 tbsp. Granulated Garlic

Boil the ingredients until the pepper pieces are soft. Puree. Strain. Let cool. This recipe does five pounds of meat. (NOTE: This recipe is a work in progress. Ken is still tweaking it. Look for future videos where he makes modifications.
