In the early hours of Thursday morning, a man, around 50 years old, was shot in the back at the door of a kiosk where there were several witnesses.

The murder of a man in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta has raised many questions. Despite the progress in the investigation, the victim has not yet been identified nor has the motive behind the crime been clarified. The crime occurred in the early hours of Thursday at the intersection of Paraguay and Agüero streets.

The man, aged around 50, was attacked from behind in front of a kiosk while several witnesses were present. After his death was confirmed, the body was taken to the judicial morgue, where an autopsy was performed and his fingerprints were taken.

However, no tattoos or distinctive marks were found that would facilitate his identification. Although a video clearly shows the victim's face, no one has yet come forward to identify him.

Investigators have carried out investigations at the crime scene and are analysing nearby security cameras to track down the attacker, who stole a fanny pack from the victim before fleeing. This object could prove key to progressing in the identification of both the victim and the motive for the murder.

A grey Volkswagen Suran used by the killer to get to the scene was abandoned nearby and is currently being examined. Initial investigations indicate that the vehicle has a twin license plate, so its chassis and documentation are being examined for clues that may help identify the assailant.

The strongest hypothesis so far is that it was a settling of scores . This theory is gaining strength due to the meticulous actions of the attacker, who allegedly used a silencer , wore a wig and dark glasses, and executed the victim without saying a word.

In addition, witnesses claim that the car was seen roaming the area in previous days , and that hours before the murder it was already parked in front of the kiosk.
