Most European NATO member countries have finally started to pay their fair share. This year, 23 out of 32 NATO members are on course to spend 2% of their GDPs on Defence. This is the amount recommended in the NATO guidelines. But some members want to go even beyond this. NATO chief Mark Rutte believes that 2% isn't enough to protect Europe. The alliance is reportedly preparing to increase the defence contribution to 3% in the coming months.
