$100 million worth of marijuana seized from 'stash house' in Oak Hills

Sheriff's deputies have seized more than 90,000 pounds of marijuana, valued at about $100 million, from a "stash house" in the Oak Hills neighborhood of San Bernardino County, authorities said.

The bust took place about 7 a.m. Monday at a home in the 5000 block of Honeyhill Road, in the unincorporated county area just outside of Hesperia, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies from the Sheriff's Department's Marijuana Enforcement Team arrived at the 5-acre property with a search warrant, according to a sheriff's department statement.

They discovered the massive pot pile inside a newly constructed, 120-foot by 40-foot metal building .

"Inside this metal building, investigators located over 3,000 trash bags filled with processed marijuana, stacked over 12 feet high, from end to end of the building. The trash bags each weighed approximately 30 to 50 pounds," according to the statement.

The total weight amounted to between 90,000 and 150,000 pounds.

It took 51 truck loads over two days to remove the huge stash of cannabis over the coarse of two days.
