Police lead procession for fallen officer killed in wrong-way crash on I-15

A police officer is dead after a wrong-way crash on the I-15 north of the Las Vegas Valley Thursday morning.

According to Nevada State Police, the crash occurred around 12:26 a.m., after a wrong-way driver traveling south on I-15 collided with multiple vehicles traveling north near Valley of Fire State Park.

Two men were confirmed dead at the scene, and one woman was transported by Mercy Air with non-life-threatening injuries.

State troopers have confirmed to FOX5 that one of the victims was the wrong-way driver, who has yet to be identified.

LVMPD has identified the other victim as off-duty Officer Colton Pulsipher. They add that he was driving in his privately owned vehicle, heading home after his shift.He joined LVMPD in 2017, assigned to the Tourist Safety Division in the Traffic Bureau.

“He is survived by his wife and three children,” LVMPD shared in a release.
