IG Report Reveals 26 FBI Informants On The Ground On Jan. 6

A newly released report from the Inspector General has revealed that the FBI had 26 confidential informants in Washington, D.C., on the ground taking part in the events that happened on. January 6.
Of those, 13 entered the restricted area on Capitol Hill during and 4 went inside of the Capitol itself, according to the report.
Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said only a handful were assigned by the FBI to be present for the event, and said none of them were authorized to break the law or "encourage others to commit illegal acts."
Confidential human sources that are told to be at a certain event are paid by the FBI – the report said they were tasked with traveling to DC to report on the activities of domestic terrorism subjects.
Many other January 6ers have been federally charged for entering restricted space and the capitol, however none of the Confidential Human sources were charged with crimes.
