Rainbow:

Firmament hung, taught above the center of creation;
Dangling on a bowstring of obedience and mercy.
The groans of beastly men gnawed at the grace given;
An arrowed deluge loosed on the unworthy and worthy.

God turned the bow to Himself from the Earth;
A promise of eternal life through the incarnation.
The cross un-quivered and trained on His birth—
Drawn with the intention of the dead’s salvation.

Eyes affixed heavenly on the top of a person—
Sight zeroed, aiming through the cross-hairs,
At the Uncreated’s peculiar incursion
Into a particular lineage with infinite heirs.

Meaning came before the words to express it,
Everything points to Christ; future, past, and present.
