On Dangerous Ground (1951)

Directed by Nicholas Ray. The story follows Jim Wilson (Robert Ryan), a hardened, emotionally volatile detective disillusioned by the violence of his urban beat. Sent to a rural town to investigate a murder, Jim encounters Mary (Ida Lupino), a compassionate blind woman whose quiet strength challenges his bitterness.
